Regular Meet-Ups
We take the young adults in our congregation out to meet up with other young adults from church at least 6 times per year. We drive around to the local colleges and take them out mid-semester. We also host meet-ups when they are on break. During these meetings we have a brief lesson and spend a lot of time building community.
College Care Boxes
3 times per semester adults both in our church and affiliated with our church pack care boxes containing snacks and an encouraging note for college students connected with Cascade Christian Church. The boxes are then mailed to the students directly.
The Gaylord Scholarship
The Gaylord Scholarship Fund was established in 1972 to memorialize the life of Jonathan Gaylord, son of Reverend Raymond and Jeannette Gaylord. Each year, the fund gives out scholarships to the youth of Cascade Christian Church, with a particular emphasis on youth going into ministry. The only qualification to apply though is you are a member of Cascade Christian Church.
Volunteer Opportunities & Internships
Throughout the year, our College students, particularly ones that are more local, have the opportunity to help volunteer with other areas of the church. In particular, youth group and camp tend to be the most popular volunteer opportunities. These volunteer opportunities can be done as a formal internship, or just as a way to give back to the youth group where many of them were once actively involved.
